Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Can I use the Junkyard Juice vinyl cleaner on cloth or
leather?
A. No the
appropriate cleaner for leather is the Junkyard Juice
Leather Clean. Using the vinyl cleaner on cloth seats or
other cloth materials may cause the color to run or fade
over time with continued use. The leather cleaner can be
used on cloth seats as well.
Q. Can the concentrated solution be used without water?
A. We
recommend the 4 oz concentrate be diluted in 28 oz of soft,
distilled or reverse osmosis water. It is a reaction of the
concentrate with the water that gives it the greatest
cleaning power to lift the soil and stains.
Q. Can we use the water straight out of our tap?
A.
Certainly, the cleaner was developed to be used in any type
of water. Soft, distilled or reverse osmosis water has no
mineral and is best. Mineral in water works against the
natural cleaning power of water and the cleaner.
Q. Can the
cleaner be used on tires and rims.
A. It
has not been tested on all types of alloy rims, polished or
powder coated. The cleaner has an adverse reaction to
certain types of aluminum rims that are coated or polished.
Q. Can the
cleaner be used on the painted surface of the car?
A. No,
do not use the cleaner on the painted surface of the car.
Q. Can the
cleaner be used on the greasy areas of the kitchen?
A. Yes
the cleaner is great on the areas around the stove and oven
that build up a film of grease and oil. It can also be
safely used on the kitchen and bathroom grout.
Q. Can the
leather cleaner be used on leather clothing?
A. Yes
the leather cleaner is safe on all finished leather except
suede.
Q. How
often can I use the Leather Cleaner?
A. As
often as you like. We recommend every three or four months
for car interiors or when you can see a noticeable
difference in the color or texture. For interior furniture
once a year or when coloration changes are visible.
Q. Will the
leather cleaner remove ink stains?
A. The
sooner that you can get to the stain the better. Our
recommendation is to use the Junkyard Juice Auto and Marine
cleaner as a spot remover on tough stains in leather. After
you have spot cleaned the ink then you can use the Leather
foam cleaner on the entire surface.
Q. Which
cleaner should I use on tennis shoes?
A. Use
the Junkyard Juice Auto and Marine Cleaner for vinyl or
plastic based shoes and the Junkyard Juice Leather cleaner
on leather shoes.
